Sierra continued to bomb away Friday in a nonleague game at Gregori.

Third-year junior Ryan Vasquez swatted three hits while pitching five shutout innings to anchor the Timberwolves’ 14-0, mercy-shortened victory. It ends a productive stretch for Sierra (4-2) in which outscored opponents 41-2 in three games this week. Traditional powerhouses Patterson and Escalon were the other two victims of Sierra’s offensive surge.

Vasquez ended up 3 for 5 and drove in two runs to aid his cause. From the mound, he struck out four in a one-hit masterpiece.

Also contributing to the barrage were Dakota Conners (3 for 3), Jake Pruitt (three RBIs) and Jakob Gallagher (2 for 3). The Timberwolves totaled six runs while scoring in each of the first four innings before punctuating the day with eight in the top of the sixth.

Sierra will look to build on its three-game winning streak Monday when it plays host to Buhach Colony of Atwater.

Millennium 6,
Ripon Ch. 4

Freshman Steven Blackwell pitched six innings and struck out five to help the visiting Falcons of Tracy escape with a victory.

Millennium (4-0) led 6-2 going into the bottom of the seventh, when Ripon Christian (1-4) capitalized on a two-out error to plate its final two runs. The Falcons got the last out by catching an RC runner trying to steal third.

Raymond Delarosa had two hits and drove in two runs for Millennium, which took advantage of four Ripon Christian errors.
