Valencia “Len” Sutton, 51, entered into rest on Monday, December 21, in Manteca. She was born on May 12, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas. She joins her mother in heaven, Audrey Mae Pete, brother, Iran Pete, sister, Eva Jane Pete, mother-in-law, Junita Nelson and sister-in-law, Patrice Wright.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by her best friend and husband of 35 years Alex Sutton as well as her loving children are; Alex Sutton JR., Jason Sutton and Valexis Sutton. She was blessed by six grandchildren, Paisley Raine, Joshua, Akiya Lynn, Trevor Jason, and twin girls Zoe Lena and Ivy Karena. She was an amazing daughter of Horace Pete Sr. Valencia also had many brothers and sisters who adored her; Charlotte Lane, Gwendolyn Hayes, Dorothy Cardirichie, Queenester Chatman, Horace Pete JR., Audrey Mae Pete, Harlon Pete, Toni Pete, and Frankie Pete. In addition she is survived by her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws who thought of her as their own sister; Lisa Sutton, Mauricia Sutton, Christopher Sutton, Danielle Sutton, and Nick and Anthony Sutton and father-in-law’s Peter DuPee, Douglas Sutton and Alcide Nelson.

Before Len moved to Manteca over 30 years ago she was raised in San Jose California where she graduated from Overfelt High School in 1976. She was a member of Crossroads Grace Community Church of Manteca and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Len enjoyed reading her Bible, Motown music, dancing, and swinging on her swing relaxing on her porch. Motorcycle rides with her husband were always adventurous as she always looked forward to enjoying the day with her husband. Len had a deep love for children; she raised numerous nieces, nephews and foster children whom she loved as her own. She was a true believer in God; which was never un-noticed by others. Her love for her family was unconditional; she had a very special place in her heart for each and every one of them. Her husband was her best friend and her children were her pride and joy. The only thing that Len love more than family was more family; she truly couldn’t get enough. Len will be missed for her zest of life her love of laughter and her angelic like love for all children.
