Turlock  Realtors continued a philanthropic tradition of supporting education with the Betty McCoy Scholarship Fund.

Year after year, local members of the Central Valley Association of Realtors, in cooperation with businesses, have raised funds for scholarships to support local students. This year, EXIT Realty Consultants on Main Street in Turlock hosted a drive-through barbecue lunch. EXIT agents and administrators then solicited business with a number of signs, bells and great attitudes. Kris Klair, broker,  said that he was “proud of his team and the commitment to the community they share.”

With the sponsorship of local businesses, First Cal Mortgage, Eagle One Home Inspections, Old Republic Home Protection, Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., and Turlock Realty Group, along with the Turlock community, $500 scholarships will be awarded to one student from Pitman High and one student from Turlock High.

The Betty McCoy Scholarship Fund was founded in 2005, and every year thereafter a qualified student from each public high school is honored with the scholarship. Betty McCoy was a resident of Turlock for 30 years. She devoted 25 years to helping people in the community to find their dream home as a Realtor/Broker. She was a member and past president of the Central Valley Association of Realtors, active in the Turlock Chamber of Commerce, the Leadership Turlock program, Christmas CanTree, Soroptimists of Turlock, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a very nice lady
