Valerie A. Lucero-Lockhart, 49, entered into rest on Friday, January 1, in Manteca. She was born on November 10, 1960 in Oakland, California. She joins her husband in heaven, Edward Lockhart. Valerie grew up in the Bay Area and made her home in Manteca for the past 9 years.

Mrs. Lockhart is survived by her children Robert Lockhart and Tiara Lockhart, both of Manteca. She was blessed by one granddaughter; Justice Ullbarri of Manteca. In addition she has 3 surviving siblings; Ken Lucero of Manteca, Debra Hall of San Diego, and Billy Dupes of Hayward. In addition she has two special nephews that survive her, Marquise and Dmari Hall of San Diego.

Valerie was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved working in her yard gardening. She collected fairies; enjoying many different items from figurines to blankets. Her life was her granddaughter, Justice; she spent every day with her before and after school. She and her granddaughter had many special memories enjoying each other’s companionships. Valerie will be remembered as a strong-willed woman who was loving at the same time. She will be deeply missed.

Ms. Lockhart’s services are being directed by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. All services are being held privately.
