The public is invited to come and enjoy Bingo Schmingo music, a lively musical presentation full of interactive songs and stories and dances, suitable for the entire family.

The event will be held Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 4 p.m. featuring Kathleen Rushing. The program is hosted by the Manteca  Branch Library in downtown Manteca. Kathleen involves children in crafting new innovations to her songs, allowing for playful and meaningful language experiences.  While visiting the library, be sure to check out the wonderful collection of music CDs that are available to borrow.

This free program is provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Manteca Library. Flowers, holiday decorations pick-up at EU Cemetery
East Union Cemetery volunteers will be picking up flowers, holiday decorations and other items left this season at the cemetery on Sunday, Jan. 10.

Anyone wishing to retrieve their Christmas trees, wreaths, statues or other items left on graves should do so prior to that date. Anything left on graves will be discarded.

Library hosts estate planning
Three free educational seminars concerning estate and long-term care planning, probate, and living trusts will be presented during January by attorney Gina B. Leguira at the Manteca Branch Library.

The seminars are set for Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 5 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m.; and Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 5 p.m.

The presenter devotes her practice to estate and Medi-Cal planning and elderly law. Her primary focus is protecting families from the devastating legal effects of disability and death. The seminars show the public how to avoid unnecessary court proceedings, protect assets, continue legacies through charitable giving, and provide for the security of their loved ones.

An attorney since 1999, Leguira has been a senior advisor with Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, partnered with Northern California Estate Planning Counselors, and belongs to the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.

These free programs are provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Manteca Library.
