The 21-year-old right-hander was hit by a one-hopper off the bat of Dee Gordon. Fernandez remained in the game and pitched seven innings, and got a no-decision. Fernandez is 4-1 with a 1.74 ERA in seven starts this season.

A six-time All-Star catcher who moved to first on a full-time basis this season, Mauer is batting .296 with two homers and 11 RBIs in 29 games. He’s hitting .393 (11 for 28) since April 25
