Juan Antonio Rodriguez, 21, of San Jose has a price on his head with a Ripon Police Department reward that is being offered for his arrest in a mid-March Facebook robbery.

Ripon police First Sergeant Steve Merchant said a Ripon resident was attempting to buy merchandise from someone he met through Facebook and ended up being kidnapped and robbed at gun point by two suspects.

Fernando Hernandez of Stockton was taken into custody earlier by police and was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on the robbery and kidnapping charges in addition to alleged witness intimidation and conspiracy, Merchant said.  Rodriguez is still at large and is believed to have cut his long hair to disguise himself.

Ripon investigators learned that Rodriguez was listed as “DaMob” on the “209 Sneaker Exchange” page on Facebook.  Detectives are seeking public assistance in locating Rodriguez who is known to have ties to Stockton and San Jose areas.

Since a firearm was used in the crime, the public is being advised to immediately contact law enforcement if Rodriguez is located.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is urged to contact South County Crime Stoppers at 209.823.4636 or Detective Gordon West at the Ripon Police Department at 209.599.2102.
