Great Valley Museum plans planetarium shows

MODESTO  – The Great Valley Museum of Modesto Junior College will open the Planetarium on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, for 12 shows scheduled on the hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the American Graffiti Festival and Car Show on the MJC West Campus. The planetarium is located in the new Science Community Center.

 The featured shows will be “Ultimate Universe” and a laser light show with music. All shows will be $5 per person with a $1 discount for students (with student I.D.), children under age five and museum members. Tickets are only available at the door.

 The Great Valley Museum is a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing science and natural history information to adults and children of all ages through classes, programs and exhibits. For more information on GVM events visit, or stop by the museum at 1100 Stoddard Avenue in Modesto, open 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
