OAKDALE – East Union made the trip to Oakdale expecting a battle and they got one, holding off the Mustangs for a 38-33 Valley Oak League win.

The Lancers exchanged leads with Oakdale throughout the contest, pulling away for good in the game’s final moments. Kristin Piasecki led East Union with a game-high 19 point outing and teammate Allison Telles found her way into double-digits with 11.

“The game went back and forth all night,” East Union head coach Rich Posz said. “It was basically a one-point difference until we were able to apply some pressure and control those final few minutes of the ball game.”

Lancer Kelsey Emerson had her way on the glass, pulling down a team-high nine rebounds to go along with three points.
