Chris attended the University of Pacific in Stockton, California before enlisting into the United States Army on December 28, 1943.  Chris returned to Manteca May 9, 1946 after World War II and married Janice Marie Webb in 1949.  Chris and his brother George assumed ownership of the El Rey Theatre and operated the business until the building was destroyed.
Chris received his real estate license and worked with his high school friend, Joe Jacobs, at Jacobs Realty until retiring in 2011 when he moved to Texas to live with his children.  Chris passed away in Lockhart, Texas on June 4, 2014.
