STOCKTON — St. Mary’s High School Theatre Department is staging “Les Miserables” Feb. 25 through March 7.
“Les Miserables” - based upon Victor Hugo’s epic tale of the same name - is set in politically unstable post-revolutionary France in the early part of the 19th century. The riveting drama spans 17 years in the life of convict Jean Valjean as he journeys toward redemption. Musical direction will be provided by Elizabeth Hodgdon and choreography by Nina Thiel.
St. Mary’s will be performing “Les Miserables” at the Tillie Lewis Theatre on the Delta College campus on Thursday Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.; Friday Feb.26 at 8 p.m., Saturday Feb. 27 at 8 p.m.; Sunday Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.; Friday March 5 at 8 p.m.; Saturday March 6 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday March 7 at 2 p.m.
The Tillie Lewis Theatre is located at 5151 Pacific Avenue. Tickets may be purchased online at tickets.com, or at the St. Mary’s High School main office, 5648 N. El Dorado Street in Stockton. General admission prices are $15 for adults and $10 for students, children and senior citizens.
