Ripon council meets early Tuesday

The Ripon City Council will look at a backup plan for the city clerk position.

At Tuesday’s session, elected leaders are scheduled to designate a deputy city clerk to act in the absence of Lisa Roos, who holds the position of city clerk.

Council, in this case, will look to designate Tricia Raymond as deputy city clerk.

The regular meeting was moved to 5 p.m. – open sessions are usually at 7 o’clock in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma St. – in order for council members to attend National Night Out at the Ripon Community Center, from 6 to 9 o’clock.

The agenda also includes:

• A resolution for the City of Ripon to remain a part of the Urban County Cooperation Agreement for the purpose of Administering the Community Development Block Grant Program for the fiscal years of 2015 through 2017.

• An amendment to the Urban County Cooperation Agreement for Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership Act for 2012 through 2014.

•An approval for the response to a grand jury case for the City of Stockton regarding “Do They Know What They Approve?”

• An authorization to allow Mayor Chuck Winn to sign the agreement with Basecamp Environment which will assist city staff in completing the required environmental documents for the Handicap Ramp Project in the amount not exceeding $2,700.
