The 29th annual Our Lady of Fatima celebration at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ripon will be held Friday, Aug. 29, to Sunday, Aug. 31. The public is invited.

Queen Megan Rocha of this year’s event will crown Our Lady of Fatima during the 10 a.m. Mass. She will be assisted by the members of her court comprised of Lindsay Silveira and Kiara Aneheta.

A procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima will follow the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday which will be celebrated by Fr. Luis Cordeiro. The procession will leave the church and then proceed to the Parish Hall where lunch will be served to everyone present. An auction starting at 1:30 p.m. will be held following lunch.

The annual celebration not only honors Our Lady of Fatima but also helps raise money to assist the celebration committee in the many projects they do for St. Patrick’s.

Below is the schedule of events for the three-day weekend celebration:

• Friday, Aug. 29: novena and rosary at 7:30 p.m.; Mass at 8 p.m. celebrated by Fr. Jeff Wilson.

• Sunday, Aug. 31: Mass celebrated by Fr. Luis Cordeiro at 10 a.m. followed by the procession from the church to the parish hall.

Anyone wishing to donate items for the auction may do so by dropping them off at the Parish Hall Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., or Sunday morning anytime after 8: a.m.

Officers of this year’s Our Lady of Fatima celebration are John and rosemary Rocha, president; Mario and Maria Dusi, vice president; Dorothy Teixeira, secretary; Carol Lawrence, treasurer; David Lima, marshall.
