Casino night set Sept. 27 benefits Give Every Child a Chance tutoring

The Give Every Child a Chance 14th Casino Night & Auction will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the MRPS Hall, 133 N. Grant St., Manteca.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and gaming begins at 7  p.m. This evening of fun includes a raffle, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, live auction, Mystery Boxes, Black Jack, Roulette, and Craps. In addition there will be a Texas Hold ‘em Tournament (for an additional fee) with prizes for the top three players.

Casino Night tickets are $30 when you buy them in advance at one of the following locations: Give Every Child A Chance, Manteca Chamber of Commerce, Manteca CVB, Oak Valley Community Bank, and Golden Valley Federal Credit Union (addresses listed below). Casino Night tickets include: entrance to the event, $2000 in casino chips, hors d’oeuvres, and 25 raffle tickets. Additionally, guests will have access to the live and silent auction, Mystery Boxes, no host bar, and DiamondRita raffle.

uMystery Boxes: An assortment of decorative boxes will be placed around a table with various prizes inside. Each mystery box has a minimum value of $50. You can bid on just one or all for a chance to win the grand prize!

How it works: Bidding will close just after 9 p.m. The highest bidder on each box will

uDiamondRita: For $30, purchase a “DiamondRita”; a bottomless Margarita.  Each purchase enters you into a raffle to win a diamond necklace donated by DeVon’s Fine Jewelers. Only 52 DiamondRitas will be sold! One lucky DiamondRita purchaser is guaranteed to win a diamond necklace. 

How it Works: When you purchase your DiamondRita, you will be given a playing card.  When you pick up your first drink the playing card will be torn in half. One side will be put in a bowl, the other goes back to you. At the end of the evening, (or when the last DiamondRita is purchased) there will be a drawing from the bowl.  The person holding the other half of the winning card will be the proud winner of a beautiful diamond necklace.

Texas Hold ‘em Tournament tickets are $50 and can be purchased at the time of the event or in advance at Give Every Child A Chance’s Administration office-322 Sun West Place, Manteca. Texas Hold ‘em Tournament tickets include: entrance to the event, $3000 in tournament chips, and hors d’oeuvres. Additionally, guests will have access to the live and silent auction, Mystery Boxes, no host bar, and DiamondRita raffle.

Give Every Child a Chance is a non-profit organization committed to helping children reach their full potential, while building their self-esteem and confidence.  GECAC offers a variety of youth support services including one-on-one mentor tutoring and after school advantage programs. Give Every Child A Chance has served 4,109 youth this past school year, with over 400 volunteers at 48 locations, throughout the communities of San Joaquin County.
