Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
I went to the doctors twice a year over the past 5 years. I went to have a blood test for cholesterol and an X-ray and the insurance paid 40% and I paid $100 a month for a year on top of my $280 for the deductible.

The insurance company sent me a letter that my premium would go up to $320 a month so I canceled. The next self employed insurance company wanted my report for the cholesterol and wanted to start me with a pre- existing condition at $380 a month instead of the $180 a month that they first quoted me. Do we need health reform ?  I am 51 years old, a full time environmental science engineer student.
