Garay’s 3TDs leads Jags to Cen-Cal win

Angel Garay returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown and added two more scores to lead the Manteca Jaguars varsity to a 32-6 win over the Atwater Falcons in Cen-Cal action.

Garay ran for 176 yards on 10 carries and Miguel Siguera had 98 yards on seven carries with two touchdowns.

Geo Alvarez Jose Ceja blocked two punts and made eight tackles to lead the Manteca defense. Alvarez also had eight tackles, four of which were for a loss and Garay added four stops.

 

Jr. Buffaloes 32, Wolves 7

Dezmin Ware ran for 182 yards with two touchdowns for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Tyler Ellks had 67 yards rushing with an 11-yard touchdown in the first quarter and Chris Ortiz (six tackles) had 52 yards rushing and Saul Contreras had a 55-yard touchdown pass from Trinidad Diaz. Noe Saldivar had six tackles and a fumble recovery. 

 

Junior varsity

Jaguars 32, Falcons 2

Dominic Rea gained 135 yards on nine carries with one rushing touchdown and scored another on 50-yard punt return.

Darion Chavis added 46 yards on nine carries with one touchdown.  

Dominic Rea returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown and was in on five tackles. Jesse Miranda added six stops, Gerardo Escobar four and Aaron Craig three.

In his first game back after a broken wrist Evan Ott made an interception.

 

Jr. Buffaloes 56, Wolves 0

Jacob DeJesus had 113 yards rushing with three touchdowns and five tackles for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Kyle Jackson added a 17-yard touchdown pass and a 67-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

 

Pee Wee Jaguars 

Jaguars 36, Falcons 0

Jamari Hodge ran for 109 yards with two touchdowns for the Jaguars.

Kaiona Ontai had 77 yards rushing and a touchdown plus a great 42-yard scoring pass from Jasson R. Aucello II. Aucello II had 107 passing yards with a 3-yard touchdown run. Peyton Graham had a 41-yard catch and run.

The offensive  line led by Dylan Zimmerman, Alfredo Ramirez, Alex Gatty, Luke Samson, Julian Ochoa and Rheanne Ferrer help slow a fast-paced Atwater defense.

Zane Salgado led the Manteca defense with 10 tackles. Isaac Allgaier had seven stops, Ricardo Villalvazo six and Evyn White sacked the Falcon’s quarterback in the end zone for a safety.

 

Jr. Buffaloes 26, Wolves 7

Daniel Rushing ran for 174 yards with a 90-yard first-quarter touchdown for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Eduardo Lomeli added a 61-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Bryan Howe (48 yards rushing) had six tackles and Daymari Cox (43 yards rushing) had two pass deflections and an interception.

Dylan Deprater had two receptions and an interception and Colton Stonum made eight tackles. 

 

Rookies 

Jaguars

 Isaac Hashim led the Jaguars with touchdown runs of 10, 10, 30 and 66 yards. 

Moises Alvarado had 46 yards rushing for Manteca and along with Jayed Hamption made six tackles apiece. Jacob Medeiros added four stops.

 

Jr. Buffaloes

Peyton Nieman ran for 165 yards rushing and had three tackles for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Gage Pfeifer had added 65 yards rushing and an interception, Logan House had four six tackles, Bryson McMichael four tackles and Quinn Martinez 25 yards rushing with one tackle.
