Trips range from casino gambling to San Francisco

The Trips N’ Tours group based at the Manteca Senior Center offers trips for people of all ages meaning you do not have to be a senior to participate.

The only restrictions is for casino trips where those attending have to be 21 years of age or older.

The Trips N’ Tours office at the senior center, 295 Cherry Lane, is open Monday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. For details call 209.456.8652.

Wednesday, March 4

THUNDER VALLEY CASINO: This trip to the casino in Lincoln north of Roseville in Placer County on Wednesday, March 4, is $20 per person and covers round trip transportation, $15 free play and $5 food credit. It departs the senior center at 8:30 a.m. and returns about 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 9

SAN FRANCISCO BY THE BAY: This trip features a two hour stop at the Ferry Building and four hours at Pier 39 on Saturday, April 25. The cost is $36 per person and covers round trip transportation. It is a no host lunch. The bus departs the Manteca Senior Center at 8 a.m. There is a 10-cent surcharge for all plastic shopping bags in San Francisco.

Sunday, May 17

SOUTH PACIFIC IN FRESNO: This trip is to Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theatre in Fresno for a presentation of “South Pacific” on Sunday, May 17. The $45 cost per person covers round trip transportation, matinee performance and buffet lunch including beverage and dessert. The show is performed by the Good Company Players. The bus departs the senior center at 9 a.m. and returns about 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, June 27

QUILTERS SHOP HOP: This trip includes stops at Roxy’s Quilt & Sewing in Tracy, Intrepid Threads in Milpitas, Prairie Queens Quilt in San Jose, The Granary in Sunnyvale, and Eddie’s Quilting Bee in Sunnyvale. The cost is $35 per person and covers transportation. There is a no host lunch. While there are plenty of dining spots around stores those attending are free to bring their own lunch. The bus departs the senior center at 7:45 a.m. and returns about 6 p.m.

Saturday, July 11

JACK OF ALL TRADES MARKET: The Saturday, July 15, trip to Jack London Square in Oakland includes a crafts and antiques market, artists, food, beer, music, and more. The $52 per person fee includes round trip transportation and free admission. There is a no host lunch. The bus departs the senior center at 9:30 a.m. and returns about 5:30 p.m.
