The fluffy guy is in Stockton! If you know which comedian can be described by a simple word “fluffy,” you probably know him well and are in for a treat – Gabriel Iglesias will perform at the Bob Hope Theatre (248 West Fremont Street, Stockton) this week! His stand-up comedy is easily recognizable thanks to his frequent mentions of his fluffy body type (“Oh, I’m not fat, I’m fluffy”) and ever-changing voices and sound effects. Even though he lost over 100 pounds to improve his health, his six levels of fatness are still making America laugh. Catch Gabriel Iglesias on Thursday, March 26, and Friday, March 27, at 8 p.m. Price: $50 Learn more at

Spring hasn’t officially started until you attend the annual Lodi Spring Wine Show! In its 35th year, for one day in March the Ole Mettler Grape Pavilion at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds (413 East Lockeford St, Lodi) is transformed into a mega-winery. You don’t have to drive from winery to winery, because they are all under one roof! This year, more than 40 wineries promised their appearance boosted by the area’s best restaurants and wine-themed vendors. You will learn how to taste and make wine, sample gourmet olive oils or simply enjoy a cigar on the “Cigar and Port” patio. Plus, would you like to win the Ultimate Wine Basket?  Filled with more than 100 bottles of wine, you’ll never have to buy wine again. Or at least this year. Visit the show this Friday and Saturday, March 28-29, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Price: $35  Learn more at
