Todd Brian Petray, 42, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at home after a long and brave battle with cancer. He was born in Richmond, a resident of Manteca and former resident of Concord. Todd’s career was spent as a butcher where he worked for Safeway Stores. Prior to that, he worked at Lucky Stores and in the moving industry. He had a very special gift with children and animals, always surrounded by them, playing with and caring for them.

He is survived by his son, Zackary Petray of Dublin; mother, Sylvia Petray of Manteca; sisters, Dianna (Richard) Jensen of Martinez and Lorie (James) Mahoney of Manteca; brothers, Joseph (Nanette) Petray, Jr. of San Ramon and Jeffrey Petray of Manteca.
A member of a very large and loving family, Todd is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, too many to mention but loved just the same, as well as close friends who supported him in his time of need.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Petray, Sr. and sister, Linda Petray.

Funeral services for Todd will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1233 Northgate Drive in Manteca on Friday March 12, with visitation from noon to 1 p.m. and services to follow at 1 p.m. Internment will follow at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road in Manteca. Arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road in Manteca.
