Sierra High students collect 21 of 40 film festival awards

Sierra students were nig winners at the 14th Annual EYE Light Film Festival Thursday night in Vacaville.

Sierra collected 21 of the 40 awards handed out.

Topping the honors was Chabryel Fay’s films that took the Little Rascal Award for the Best Young Starring Actor, Best Director, and Outstanding Personal Achievement.

Caelan Parker, Mariah Young, Christian Montes, and Jojo Macia all earned awards for their films. Jenny Anderson and Alex Aslami each were presented  two awards for their entires.

Natasha Wilson took home awards for three submissions including best documentary for her film “En.Force” featuring the Manteca Police. While, Hannah Goe’s film “US” won for Best Sound Editing, Best Actress, and Best Art film.

 Executives from Bio-Hazard Entertainment attending the festival offered winning students an opportunity to participate in an exclusive workshop giving students a hands on experience working in the entertainment industry. Top participants are getting the opportunity to apply for an internship during the filming of a major motion picture. They will also be given a chance to audition for cast position in the film scheduled to start filming in December, 2016 in New Zealand.
