Manteca CAPS dinner theatre set for March 27
“Sleepless in California” is the name of this year’s production for the mystery dinner theatre benefit for the Manteca CAPS organization that services mentally challenged adults.

The dinner is set for Saturday, March 27, at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.

Tickets are $30 apiece. No-host cocktails start at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. that includes a live performance.

There are also door prizes and a raffle.

It is a slumber party theme this year. Guests are encouraged to dress appropriately.

Blood drive set for April 10
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and Delta Blood Bank host blood drive on Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 525 E. North Street. For more information or to make an appointment please contact Bob Pico at 481-5005.

All registered donors will receive loyalty points that are good toward exclusive items from Delta Blood Bank’s local business partners.

Spaghetti dinner at MHS March 24
The Jeff Gonsalez Memorial Scholarship Spaghetti Dinner is set for Wednesday, March 24, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Manteca High cafeteria.

The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

Takeout meals are available.

For tickets call Manteca High at 825-3174 or nutritional services at 825-3200, extension 775.

Hit the Streets for Hunger 5K run April 10
Hit the Streets for Hunger is a 5K Walk/Run with 1 mile and 5K courses along the Tidewater Bike Path in Manteca taking place on Saturday, April 10,, in conjunction with the CVB Street Faire.

 This will be the first, of what will be an annual event to raise awareness and funds for Second Harvest Food Bank.  This is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome to participate.

If you would like to participate in this exciting event registration forms are available at Second Harvest Food Bank, 704 Industrial Park Drive or the CVB office, 1422 Grove Ave, at The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley. Pre-registration is encouraged.  

Entry fees are as follows; Pre-registration $15, day of registration $20, family registration (pre-registration only) $45.  An event T-shirt is guaranteed if your registration is post-marked by March 19 and all families registered are guaranteed four shirts.
