Elizabeth Lorene Freeman and Michael Leonard Edrington, of Lathrop, are announcing their plans to wed on Saturday, April 17 at Chez Shari at Manteca Golf Course.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Rodney and Margaret Freeman of Manteca. She is the granddaughter of the late Guy and Emma Freeman and the late Hose Weldon and Josie Bailey. Her sister is Vickie Douglas of Commerce, Texas.

Elizabeth graduated from East Union High School in 1984 and Humphreys College in 1986. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, Fresno in 2004. She has been a federal employee for 23 years.

The benedict-elect is the son of Jerry and Kathy Morris of Tucson, Arizona. He is the grandson of the late Alvilda and Leonard Guthrie. His siblings are John Morris of Hanford and Lisa Turner of Tucson, Arizona.

Michael graduated from Bonita Vista High School in Chula Vista in 1982. He served four years in the U.S. Navy, playing trumpet in the Navy Band. He has been employed with the city of Lathrop for 16 years.

The couple announced their engagement on February 9, 2009.
