Cain Lopez – one of the hottest new Latin comics – is heading the upcoming Manteca Chamber of Commerce Comedy Night on Saturday, Feb. 21.
The evening at The Emory, 1028 W. Yosemite Ave., includes opening acts Leo Flowers and George Anderson. The show is from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. with dancing following to midnight. Tickets are $25 apiece.
“There’s nothing else like it in Manteca,” noted Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Debby Moorhead of the Comedy Night presentations that are going on their sixth year. “For $25 you get to have good laughs and dance. That’s a pretty good deal.”
Lopez is a 30-year-old Burbank resident who draws his humor from his own life whether it was as the fat kid in school, living in a trailer park growing up, or simply hanging out. He was a featured comic on HBO’s Laugh Festival and has appeared twice on Galavision’s Que Locos.
He also is appearing on the Loco Comedy Jam, the Latin Laugh Festival, and Comedy Express. He is part of the cast of the new TV show Inside Joke.
