Brooke Ashley Harris and Marc Stephen Jansen of Escalon, were married in a double ring ceremony on January 30, 2010 at Friendly Wedding Chapel in Modesto.

The bride is the daughter of William R. Harris of Tulsa, OK and Lela R. Harris of Manteca. She is the granddaughter of Gerald R. Harris and Connie F. Harris of Houston, Texas and Helen C. Greer of Manteca and the late Ned R. McConnell of San Lorenzo.

The groom is the son of Gary L. Jansen and Judy L. Jansen of Manteca. He is the grandson of Ann M. Jansen and the late Melvin T. Jansen of Hayward and the late Robert S. Morrow and Alma L. Morrow of Hayward.

The bride was escorted by her grandfather Gerald R. Harris. The ceremony was officiated by minister Gorge Martinez.

The bride wore a white floor-length organza wedding gown with a lace bodice and sheer veil with Swarovski crystals and embroidery and she carried a bouquet of red roses.

Her maid of honor was Nowell Hays of Sonora. The best man was Michael Bonin, the groom’s cousin from Hayward.

A reception for 50 guests was held at Chez Shari in Manteca.

Brooke graduated from Manteca Adult School in 2007. She is attending Modesto Junior College working on her A.S. degree majoring in anatomy and microbiology. She is employed at Kohl’s Department Store and works in the fine jewelry department.

Marc graduated from Sierra High School in 2003. He is also attending Modesto Junior College working on his A.S. degree majoring in sports medicine. He is employed at Schwan’s home food service and works as a driver and sales associate.

The couple will honeymoon at a later date. They now reside in Escalon.
