Besides traditional trick or treating there are plenty of Halloween activities for kids this evening in Manteca.

The Mad Scientist

The final free tour of “Mad Scientist” Rick Feuerstein’s garage that has been meticulously transformed into a laboratory for all things spooky is this evening from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at 1373 Pajaro Avenue. There is no charge.

Pajaro Avenue is off of Northgate Drive in north Manteca. From North Main Street head west on Northgate Drive, cross over the Tidewater Bike Path and turn left at the first street. If you reach the traffic signal at Holt Lane you have gone too far.



Refuge Church

Trunk or Treat

The Place of Refuge Church, 486 Button Ave, Manteca, is conducting its free annual Trunk or Treat from 5 to 8 p.m. Adults decorate the trunks of their cars for kids to trick or treat at and they walk around and collect treats. There will also be am Inflatable Zone for safe indoor play and a place for parents to sit down. There is also free kettle corn and popcorn. There will be a coffee shop open to purchase coffee drinks.

St. Paul’s Safe


St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is hosting is Safe Halloween from 5 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall, 910 E. North St., Manteca. For more information call 209.823.7154.


Manteca CWC

Harvest Party

The Manteca Christian Worship Center’s Kids’ Harvest Party is starts at 6 p.m. for those in sixth grade and under at the church at 786 Button Avenue. Admission is one bag of candy. 


Brock Elliott Fall

Carnival on Wednesday

Brock Elliott School’s Fall Carnival was rescheduled due to rain to Wednesday, Nov. 2, beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the booths, food, games, and prizes in the school courtyard. Trunk or Treating will begin about 7 p.m. in the front parking lot.
