Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Resided in Manteca, California. Roberto Miguel Martinez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, passed away May 11, 2017 at his home in Manteca, California. Battling cancer at the age of 65, he was a strong-willed fighter up to his last hours. Everyone who knew Roberto loved and deeply cared for him. His personality, warm sense of humor, and joyful smile touched so many around him.
   He was born in San Juan Puerto Rico, the son of Luzberto and Agueda Martinez and brother of Luis Alberto Martinez. Husband to Gina Cusi Martinez,father to his two daughters; Melanie and Anne and his son Raymund. Grandfather to his five grandchildren; Miah, Joshua, Giulianna, Ryanna, and Jeremy.
   He grew up in Brooklyn, New York City, NY and attended elementary PS122, and Aviation High School in New York City and attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Roberto served in the United States Navy for over 30 years retiring with the Officer rank of Commander. During his time in the Navy he enjoyed traveling, especially to the Far East of Asia; where he served overseas.  Roberto enjoyed many things in life like golf, traveling, flying, sailing, and his family. He had an outgoing and warm personality.
   Roberto Miguel Martinez now resides beyond the gates of heaven. He will be forever remembered and missed in everyone’s hearts and minds. Friends may visit Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 from 4:00–9:00 p.m. and are invited to attend the vigil service Sunday, 5:00 p.m. at DUGGAN’S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City.  The funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, May 22 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 1571 Southgate Ave., Daly City.  Burial will take place in the
