Calla 4-H first among youth

The Calla 4-H Club took first place in the youth division for the 45th annual Manteca Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade on Saturday.
This year’s theme was “Christmas Movie.”
Manteca Little League was second in the youth division while Manteca Sierra FFA was third.
Manteca Animal Services was first in the clubs/civic category while Sunrise Kiwanis was second.
Old McGowan Feed Store took the commercial division while Doctors Hospital was second.
The musical unit elementary division saw Stella Brockman School finish first, Brock Elliott School place second, and Woodward/Shasta/Golden West schools end up third. The Sierra High band placed first in the high school division and East Union High second.
For the novelty entries 12 and under Dance Stars finished first and Girl Scout Troop 110 was second.
For the novelty entries 12 and up California Canine was first, City of Manteca Solid Waste Division was second, and East Union High FCCLA was third.
The Graffiti Sweeties were first and the Manteca Shooting Stars second for twirling groups.
First place finishers also included Sikh Riders for autos/motorcycles, New Life Recovery for religious, and Wilcox Family for families.
