Jacqueline Rene Wendell and Zachary Robert Pinol of Manteca, are announcing their engagement and have set a date to wed on Sept. 10, 2011 at the Purple Orchid Resort in Livermore.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Kelly and Sandra Wendell and the granddaughter of Allen and Freda Flowers of Manteca and Jean Wendell and the late Win Wendell of Fremont. Her siblings are Jessica Wendell of Sacramento and Nicholas Wendell of Manteca.

Jacqueline graduated from Sierra High School in 2006 and from cosmetology school in 2008. She is a stylist at Salon Tivoli in Livermore.

The benedict-elect is the son of William Pinol of Escalon and Susan Florez of Twain Harte. He is the grandson of Betty Pinol and the late Robert Pinol of Manteca and Sharon Fisher and Marty Luther of Sacramento. His siblings are Ambra Junqueiro of Escalon, Ben Pinol of Santa Clara and Genna Florez of Twain Harte.

Zachary graduated from Manteca High School in 2006 and Abrams College in 2007. He is an emergency medical technician for American Medical Response and is a firefighter reserve for Waterloo/ Morada Fire Department.

Zachary proposed  to Jacqueline on May 2, 2010 at Coit Tower in San Francisco. They have been high school sweethearts since 2005 and have purchased their first home in Sept. 2009.
