K. Hovnanian Homes has initiated a sales promotion urging potential homebuyers to make the most of their tax refunds by applying them toward the purchase of a new K. Hovnanian High Performance Home.

According to a report from USA Today, the average tax refund for 2011 thus far is $3,036, up more than $200 from last year.

“With special financing programs and down payment assistance available at many communities, a $3,000 tax refund is a great start toward owning a home,” said Mary Lou Hovie, director of marketing for K. Hovnanian Homes.

Home loans which require no down payment are available for qualified buyers at many communities throughout the central valley including Los Laureles in Firebaugh, Muirfield in Dinuba, Eagles Ridge in Santa Nella, Parkside in Livingston, Bella Vina in Fresno, Medallion in Manteca and on select homes at Aviana in Gilroy.

“Especially in the current economy, it’s important to make wise financial decisions,” said Hovie.  “Purchasing a home at today’s low prices and locking in a historically low interest rate by applying your tax refund toward the purchase of a new, energy-efficient home is wise on many levels.”

K. Hovnanian Homes is building new homes throughout the Sacramento valley, Bay Area and central valley regions.  Preparing for the resurgence of the real estate market, the builder recently opened new communities in Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Manteca, Gilroy, Vallejo, Dublin and Roseville.
