Lower weights (103-130)

• 103: Chris Rodriguez, Weston Ranch junior—Rodriguez qualified for the SJS Masters with a third-place finish at the Division IV tournament.

• 119: Marco Castaneda, East Union junior—The Lancer junior won the Lincoln Tournament, the VOL tournament and Division IV tournament before ending his season at the Masters.

• 119: Robert Howard, Sierra senior—Howard developed into one of Frank Sabala’s best and ended his career with back-to-back Masters appearances.

Middle weights (135-160)

• 135: Travis Bowen, Weston Ranch junior—Bowen finished fifth overall at the D-IV tournament after a third-place finish at the VOL tournament.

• 145: Aiden Foster, Sierra sophomore— The sophomore moved up two weight classes this season and qualified for the Masters for the first time with a third-place D-IV finish.

• 160: Alex Nuanez, Sierra sophomore—A top-notch linebacker and three-sport athlete, Nuanez showed his versatility by qualifying for the Masters after a third-place performance at sub-sections.

Upper weights (171-285)

• 189: Oscar Castro, Sierra senior—A VOL champion and D-IV runner-up, Castro split Most Valuable Wrestler honors with Nuanez at Sierra’s winter awards banquet.

• 189: Chris Contreras, Weston Ranch junior—The junior was a captain for Weston Ranch and perhaps its most consistent performer. Contreras finished second in league before punching his ticket to the Masters with a fourth-place finish at sub-sections.

• 285: Zach Williams, Manteca senior—Williams (32-8) finished third at the Apple Cider tournament in Watsonville, third at Lincoln, third at Turlock’s Bulldog Classic, first at VOL and third at sub-sections.
