• Relay for Life yard sale Saturday: A yard sale sponsored by the Relay for Life team, Garden of Hope, planned for Saturday  from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1371 Ana Capri Drive (near George McParland School) will benefit the American Cancer Society.

• St. Anthony’s hosts blood drive Saturday: St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and Delta Blood Bank host a blood drive on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church at 525 E. North Street. For more information or to make an appointment please contact Bob Pico at (209) 481-5005.

• McParland omelet & pancake breakfast: The George McParland School eighth grade class is conducting an omelet and pancake fundraiser on Saturday, April 9, from 7 a.m. to noon in the school cafeteria.

The cost is $6 at the door.

• Sierra High wine social on Saturday: The Sierra High School Athletic Boosters wine social is Saturday, April 9, at the Delicato Winery at 12001 S. Highway 99 from 6 to 8 p.m. There are raffle prizes, silent auction items, finger foods, and of course wine.

• ICF staging shrimp dinner on April 16: An “All You Can Eat Shrimp Dinner” by the Italian Catholic Federation will be held on Saturday, April l6, in the St. Anthony’s Church Gym.  This fifth annual event begins with a no-host cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. The tickets are $30 each.
