The New York steak dinner will be served at 7 p.m. with dancing from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The presentation of the queens will take place at 9:30 p.m.
The cost is $20 for adults while children 6 thru 12 are $10. No tickets will be sold at door.
• FESM pancake, linguica breakfast: Festa do Espiritu Santo de Manteca (FESM) Pancake & Linguica Breakfast takes place at the FESM Hall on Sunday, May 1, from 7 a.m. until noon.
Breakfast includes pancakes, linguica, eggs, coffee, and juices.
Tickets will be sold at door. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12.
• Shasta School car wash Saturday: The Shasta School eighth grade committee is conducting a car wash Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Edison Street campus.
The donation is $5 per car.
• Rib & tri-tip dinner May 7 at St. Anthony’s: Looking for a great time with family and friends where there will be all-you-can-eat ribs and tri-tip, bid on incredible auction items, and have a great night of entertainment?
Then bring the whole family and join St. Anthony’s School for a great night of fun in the gymnasium on Saturday, May 7, from 5 p.m. until midnight.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children 5-12.
The dinner will consist of all-you-can-eat Fagundes ribs and tri-tip, baked potato, salad and rolls. Wine will be served with dinner, and a no-host bar.
There will be both a live and silent auction, music and dancing.

• Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus performs May 1: SACRAMENTO - The Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus returns to Stockton on Sunday afternoon May 1 in a 3 p.m. concert in the sanctuary of Central United Methodist Church (3700 Pacific Avenue).
The Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus was founded in 1984 as a singing group that aimed to foster a sense of community and provide support for gays and lesbians in the Sacramento area. Artistic Director Paul Jones creates a professional showcase for the vocal talents of the 40-plus members of the Chorus.
Tickets are $10 per person. Students are free.
• Museum seeks art show entries: Entries are now open for the 2nd Annual Art in the Afternoon show and sale, sponsored by the Manteca Historical Society. The event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 21, in the museum parking lot.
The art show and sale entries will be limited to those living in Manteca and Lathrop and cost for each booth is $10. These funds will be used to help defray costs for refreshments which will be served throughout the afternoon affair.
Artists can contact Evelyn Prouty at 982-0339 for entry forms, or they can stop by the museum, open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1 to 3 p.m., Thursdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
In addition to local works of art, the afternoon will offer finger foods, beverages and music. The event is free to the public.
