• Rina’s Run on Saturday: RIPON – The fourth annual Rina’s Run is planned for Saturday.

The Ripon Community Athletic Foundation is playing host to the event consisting of 5- and 10- kilometer runs, with proceeds going to the Stouffer Field revitalization project.

Another feature is the vendor faire and omelet breakfast, from 8 to 11 a.m., at the RHS Multi-Use Room and made possible by the Ripon Rotary Club.

Cost for the breakfast is $7 at the door.

Race day registration is $20 for participants age 12 and under and 60 and older, and $35 for ages 13 through 59. Race-day registration and check-in takes place at Ripon High, 301 Acacia St.

The first event will be a 1 mile kid’s race starting at 8 a.m. The 5K and 10K are both scheduled for 8:30.

• EU & Sierra plan concerts: The East Union choirs will perform their Spring Concert on Monday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at Manteca Presbyterian Church on North and Main.  They are directed by Anne Talcott and Rachel Gallagher.  The concert is free to the public.

The Sierra High School In Harmony Choir will perform their Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 10, at 7 p.m. in the Sierra High School cafeteria.  They are directed by Daniel Talcott.  The concert is free to the public.

• Sierra Sober Grad car wash Saturday
: Sierra High Sober Grad is staging a car wash, Saturday, May 7, in front of Sierra High.

Cars are $5 and SUVs $8. For tickets or more information contact Vickie at 470-5956.

• EU Sober Grad Bunco fundraiser:
East Union Sober Grad Bunco fundraiser is Wednesday, May 11, at 7 p.m.

The cost is $10 per person. Women, men and students are welcome at the East Union cafeteria. It will include snacks and beverages and prizes for winners. Call or email Tanisha at 403-5428 or e-mail for tickets.
