Woodbridge wine tasting helps EU

The Women of Woodbridge at Del Webb are hosting a wine tasting fundraiser for the East Union Academic Booster Club on Thursday, May 12, in the Del Webb clubhouse from 5 to 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased for $15 by calling Janet Heupel at 603-6265.  There will be seven wineries including Delicato Vineyards.  The East Union Jazz Band will play. The East Union foods class is supplying the appetizers.

It is a benefit for scholarships and to help pay for the Principal’s Honor Roll lunch.



Sweet Harmony concert May 17

RIPON — Sweet Harmony - a four part women’s a cappella chorus - will stage a free concert on Tuesday, May 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ripon Senior Center, 433 South Wilma Ave.

Also performing will be a harp ensemble dubbed the “Heart Strings.”

While there is no admission donations will be accepted to benefit the Ripon Library.



Lathrop Boosters dinner dance May 14

LATHROP — The Lathrop High School Athletic Boosters’ second annual dinner-dance takes place Saturday, May 14, at the River Islands office, 73 W. Stewart Road.

There is a no-host bar from 5 to 6 p.m. with dinner and dancing from 6 to 11 p.m.

Dinner consists of tri-tip, pasta, salad, roll, drink and dessert.

The cost is $30 per person. You must be 21 or older to attend.
