James Gilbert Buchanan “Buchum”, age 55, passed away on March 21, 2009 surrounded by the family & friends that loved him dearly. He was born on August 19, 1953, in Stockton to Elbert and Miggie Buchanan. in 1970. James met the love of his life Celeste and together they had two daughters. James worked for Monier Life Tile for 30 years. He enjoyed many family and friend adventures like boating, camping, dirt bike riding, skiing and especially road trips on his Harley.

James is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years Celeste; mother Miggie Wheat; and daughters Amber Berry and Jennifer Jedlicka; sons-in-law Jay Berry and Chris Jedlicka. He was the proud “Papa James” to his four grandchildren, Cierra, Drake, Brock and Colton.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service that will be held at the Lodi Funeral Home, 725 South Fairmont Avenue in Lodi on Friday, March 27, at 1 p.m. Committal will immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, March 26, from noon to 8 p.m.
