The Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis will host their 2nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner this year.

The local community continues to fight hunger 365 days a year, and with the current economic climate, we have seen the need for food assistance drastically increase in recent times.

Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis is proud to be hosting their 2nd Annual Thanksgiving in Manteca for those in the community that otherwise would not have a traditional Thanksgiving meal or someone to share this day with. On Thursday, Nov. 24, they are anticipating serving more than 300 men, women, and children at the Manteca Mountain Mike’s Pizza, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Church groups, or locations that pre-order meals for their families in need will be able to drive through and pick up those meals. The meals are limited and based on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis is looking for sponsors and or donations for this event. Any individuals or groups interested in reserving dinners, donating, or needing more information should contact Brian Mills at 607-3474.

The members of the Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis greatly appreciates and depends on community partners to accomplish their goal to ensure that those in our community who struggle with hunger on a daily basis will not go hungry on Thanksgiving Day.
