Sam Michaels, 88, died on March 25, 2009 at his home in Manteca.

Sam was born on March 1, 1921 in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest of six boys.  In 1961 he moved to North Hollywood, CA, where he worked for the city of Pasadena. After retiring in 1990 Sam and his wife Dorothy moved to Manteca to be next to their daughter and son-in-law Sandi and Donald Wood.

Sam was an active member of the local Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.  Sam took comfort in knowing that he will be resurrected to an earthly paradise where “death will be no more.” Sam will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend.

Sam is survived by his son-in-law Donald Wood of Manteca; nephew Bob Mike, Foster City, CA; and nieces, Charlene Billstrom of Livermore and Lorraine Hardwick of Wisconsin.  He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 11, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 23901 South Manteca Road in Manteca.  Arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca.
