Delicato Vineyards’ Fine Art Show is about three weeks away.
But those interested in participating will have until Jan. 9 to register their entries.
The 21st annual event will be held from Jan. 17 through Feb. 7 at the winery located on Highway 99 just north of Manteca.
Up to five pieces of art may be entered ($8 per entry) in the competition.
The contest is open to entries by the creators of original art produced within the last three years. The Manteca wine-tasting room staff will be accepting entries from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with applications available here or by calling (824-3401), faxing (824-3510), or e-mailing (http://www.dfvwines.com/company/contactUs/TastingRoom).
Acceptable works will include the mediums of acrylic, watercolor, pastel, oil, charcoal or ink. Categories include “landscape,” “wine / grapes,” “portrait,” “animals,” “whimsical,” and “others.”
Photographs, computer altered and regular, will be reserved strictly for the Photography Show in July.
And if all categories receive sufficient entries, 20 awards totaling over $1,600 will be presented at the Feb. 7 award ceremony.
