TURLOCK — Renowned for their connection to audiences worldwide, international piano trio sensation Intersection will share their signature “precision, flair and style” at the historic Turlock Community Theatre on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

Season tickets to the Turlock Community Concerts’ five-concert series are $60/adults, $70/one-adult family, and $130/two-adult family.  Season subscription includes reciprocal tickets at eight affiliated associations in the region.  Single tickets for this event are $25, $15/students.  For tickets or further information, please visit www.turlockconcert.org or by telephone call Linda Posegate at 209-668-1456 or Sue Bonander at 209-668-3627.

Intersection’s best-selling CD and DVD sales and international concert schedule belie their ascent to the top echelon of chamber music.  Violinist Laura Frautschi, cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper and pianist John Novacek have forged this reputation based on their “new catalog” of trio works, emphasizing substance and accessibility.  The quintessential Intersection event is a varied program of repertoire perhaps centered on a Ravel, Dvorák or Brahms trio, but will veer into previously unexplored byroads - a sequence of Gypsy tunes, Slavic dance or sensuous French song.  American music, crucial to Intersection’s repertoire, is presented in musical forms spanning the most avant garde of compositions to lighter fare such as excerpts of film music and popular theater and song.  Solos and duos add to the variety of their programs.
