Webster’s Dictionary describes a person that purloins as one who steals. Webster’s also describes a thug as a hoodlum or ruffian. The thug or thugs that stole my American flag I hope will fly it with as much honor and pride that I did. You thug or thugs (I have many more descriptive words for you I can’t use in this letter) are free to your endeavors and behavior as thugs due to all the sacrifices of the many servicemen and women who fought and won your freedom to act as thugs.

That flag you stole from me was a reminder of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. You didn’t make me very happy.

Change your ways, you thug.
