MODESTO — The Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra (MSYO) presents its first pops concert to begin an annual tradition, on Saturday, Feb.18, at 3:00 p.m. at Gallo Center for the Arts.

The MSYO is comprised of over one hundred area youth in three unique ensembles, each of which will perform separately and join forces to perform together at the concert.  The Concert Orchestra is a beginner to intermediate strings-only ensemble, the Wind Ensemble is an intermediate wind and percussion ensemble, and the Symphony Orchestra is an advanced full orchestra and is led by Ming Luke, the Music Director of the MSYO and Associate Conductor of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. The concert will close with a special guest appearance from the Napa Valley band Anadel performing their own original compositions together with the MSYO.

General seating tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Tickets are available at www.modestosymphony.org or by phone at 209-338-2100, and at the Gallo Center for the Arts Ticket Office, 1000 I Street in Modesto.
