The afternoon at the MRPS Hall includes the opportunity to enjoy refreshments as well as inspect unique table settings. The price of a $10 ticket allows you to bring two items to be appraised by one of our experts.
You can watch local artist Dolly Sellars, who will be doing a painting in a day. You’ll be amazed to see her in action. Bob Hallam, will be on hand to appraise and/or buy your gold, silver, and platinum coins and jewelry. Bob was a big hit last year and he is returning this year. Along with Bob and Dolly, Betty Nichols owner of Antique Avenue, will be on hand to appraise your antiques and collectables. Betty has given appraisals all over the valley and has years of experience to share.
While you get to find out about your items you’ll have time to look over the 30 plus tables which have been decorated by the local Soroptimists members for their 17th annual Spring Luncheon taking place the next day. There are lots of fun ideas to take home and do your own table. Refreshments will be served by the local club members.
Hours for Sunday’s Extravaganza are 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for Sunday’s event, but you’ll want to get tickets early as all appraisals are first come first serve.
Tickets are available from any Soroptimist, or at Tipton’s Stationary and Gifts on Yosemite Ave., Quickie Kleen Car Wash on Yosemite, or by calling Judi Vasquez 823-6644 or Carol Nunes 823-1467.
