Christopher Carl Henry Black
U.S. Air Force First Class Airman Christopher Carl Henry Black graduated basic training on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. (321st training squadron weapons training, physical training, academic airman flight 656 (coin ceremony excellence integrity, service before self to serve our country. Sworn in at graduation E-1.)

He is stationed at Hurbert Field, Florida.

He is the son of Marc and Melissa Braumbaugh and grandson of Carl and Marie Black. His grandfather served over 40 years as a major in the Air Force. He had three uncles served in the Air Force and two uncles served in the United States Army. Christopher is carrying on the family tradition.

Christopher attended Manteca schools. He will be deployed August 1.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Michael P. Lemoine has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
 During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, core values, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

He is the son of Kevin and Jamie Lemoine of Ripon.

The airman is a 2008 graduate of Ripon Christian High School.
 
Kaitlyn Sullivan
Army Reserve Pfc. Kaitlyn A. Sullivan has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
She is the daughter of Kathy Sullivan of Ripon.
Sullivan is a 2008 graduate of Ripon High School.
 
David W. Lewis
Navy Seaman David W. Lewis, a 2007 graduate of
Manteca High School, Manteca recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
 
Joshua Godfrey
Coast Guard Fireman Joshua D. Godfrey, a 2004 graduate of Sierra High School recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N. J.
