On Tuesday, May 5, the Greater Yosemite Council of the Boy Scouts of America will be holding a fundraising event at Chez Shari Wedding and Conference Center at the Manteca Park Golf Course.

The event will benefit scouting in the Manteca and surrounding areas, including Ripon, Lathrop and Escalon. Breakfast will be served.

Speaking at the event will be Cy Young Award winner Vida Blue, a former Major League pitcher for the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants.

Chairing the event for the second straight year will be John Coburn, Vice President/Manager of the Manteca Branch of Bank of Stockton.
