Father, grandfather facing charges of alleged lewd acts upon a child under 14 years of age

A Manteca father and a grandfather have both been charged with felonious lewd acts upon a child under 14, according to Manteca Police.

Christopher Bland Miller, 43, is in San Joaquin County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail for multiple counts of lewd acts upon a daughter.  The grandfather, Clyde Miller, 68, is charged with one isolated lewd act upon his granddaughter, officers said.  

The older Miller pled guilty in San Joaquin County Superior Court and is believed to be out on bail which had been set at $75,000.  His sentencing is set for May 27 at 8:30 a.m. in the Manteca Branch of the Superior Court.

No new court date has been set for the younger Miller.
