Fourth Manteca shooting in 10 days riddles vans, wounds man in forearm

It was the fourth shooting in 10 days that wounded one man Friday night and riddled two vehicles in the 400 block of Greenbrier Avenue.

Police officers were dispatched to the scene at about 7:30 p.m. They found a man in a front yard with a bullet wound to his forearm.

Two vans in front of the residence had been hit by gunfire – one with numerous bullet holes in the right passenger door.  The victim was treated and released at a local hospital.

The suspect vehicle in the shooting was described as a light brown or gray, two-door Honda or Nissan that sped away out of the neighborhood after the shots were fired.

It was not determined if the shooting was gang related as were two of the previous incidents.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call the Manteca Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 823-4636 where they may remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
