The public is invited to the annual Day of the Arts hosted by the students and teachers in Manteca High School’s Visual and Performing Arts department. Admission is free to the event scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the school’s Winter Gym. The school is located at 450 E. Yosemite Ave.

On display will be artwork from the school’s art, design, woodshop, architecture, and video production classes, as well as live performances by members of the band, choir, and drama classes. A panel of experts will judge the student artwork with the top-prize finishers moving on to compete in the district art show later this month. Awards also will be given to outstanding students in each department’s classes.
