The annual East Union High Art Show consisted of the best work of students involved in the advanced and introduction to art classes, ceramics, digital photography and computer animation, to name a few.

“The show is the accumulative effort of the past year,” said ceramics instructor Kim Ray.

Some of the pieces displayed in the school library Wednesday evening impressed the likes of sophomore Emily Terras.

“It looks real good,” she said. “I didn’t know we had so many talented students here.”

In fact, some of the pieces were also featured in the fourth-annual Manteca Unified Art Show held just a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Sarah Esperson, Terras’ friend, is currently taking the introduction to art class.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have any of my work on display,” the East Union High senior said.

The event also included performances by the school choir and Jazz band.

Music instructor Terry Silveira even made way for Anthony Yee, a University of the Pacific student teacher, to conduct his Jazz band.
