MODESTO — Scotland’s highly acclaimed Puppet State Theatre company will bring Jean Giono’s story The Man Who Planted Trees, to the Gallo Center stage on Friday, May 18, at 7 p.m.
This multi-sensory theatrical adaptation of the environmental classic tells the inspiring story of shepherd who plants a forest, acorn by acorn, transforming a barren wasteland.
As much a touching tale as it is a hilarious puppet show, The Man Who Planted Trees shows us the difference one man (and his dog!) can make in the world. This show is recommended for ages 7 and up.
“Laughs, heartbreak, war, regeneration, scented breezes, sparkling wit and the best dog puppet ever. Perfect for children and grown-ups. Terrific.” (The Guardian)
Tickets for this performance range from $8 to $15. A 15% discount is available for groups of 15 or more. For tickets or more information, visit www.galloarts.org or call (209) 338-2100.
