Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

In response to the columnist Jim Hightower of April 17, a hoodie is not a weapon sir. It was George Zimmerman who had a gun, which is a weapon of death and did murder a 17 year-old, Trayvon Martin, who was unarmed. And what was a Neighborhood Watch doing with a gun? They have no law enforcement authority to confront anyone. Law enforcement told Zimmerman not to follow Trayvon, but he did anyway. Why?

Neighborhood Watch volunteers are only eyes and ears for law enforcement. They call anything in and let law enforcement take over. Zimmerman looked to me like a cop wannabe with that weapon of death. If Geraldo Rivera did say the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon to be gunned down, he could not be more wrong.

A Neighborhood Watch volunteer with a gun is the reason Trayvon is in his grave. It’s not justice for Trayvon to just be charged with second-degree murder.

The only reason to have a weapon of death is to use it for what it is made for.
